Day 1- Welcome to our journey to one of the most popular attractions in the Midwest. We will start our trip with a flight to Cincinnati, which saves the usual two -day bus travel that most tour companies offer for this sight. We will arrive in late afternoon and continue on to our hotel for the evening.
Day 2- In the morning we will continue on to Frankfort, Kentucky to participate in a short tour. Kentucky is known for two things: Kentucky Bourbon and Kentucky Bluegrass Horses. Our first stop will give you the opportunity to visit a 100 year-old family run store that created the original Bourbon Ball candies. If this is not your preference to satisfy your sweet tooth, they have many other options to choose from.
After getting our sweet tooth fix, we continue on to the Creation Museum. The state -of -the- art Creation Museum Allows you to venture through Biblical history, stunning exhibits, botanical gardens, planetarium, zoo, zip line course, and more.
The Creation Museum shows why God´s infallible Word, rather than man´s faulty assumptions, is the place to begin if we want to make sense of our world. This 75,000-square-foot facility allows families to experience earth history as God has revealed it in the Bible. Nearly 150 exhibits feature fearsome animatronic dinosaurs, talking heroes of the faith, and professional displays that honor God´s Word. The museum also boasts a fun-filled, 200-seat special effects theater, a state-of-the-art planetarium, a Children’s Zoo, nature trails, and lots more.
At the heart of the Creation Museum is a chronological retelling of biblical history in seven parts called the Seven C´s. Guests step back in time, beginning with Creation, and fast-forward to Christ´s return. Along the way, they see how God´s Word provides the big-picture answers for our most difficult questions, whether about science, the Bible, or our personal relationship with God.
The Creation Museum is a Christian evangelistic outreach of Answers in Genesis, as is its sister attraction, the Ark Encounter. A new exhibit about Israel during the time of Jesus is now open at the Creation Museum. It greatly aids in putting the entire New Testament in context for our guests. This will make people excited to go home and re-read their New Testament!
Day 3- This will be the highlight of our short trip, The Ark Encounter. The Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern marvel amazes visitors young and old. As you enter Noah’s world aboard the massive Ark, you’ll tour three decks filled with scores of world-class exhibit bays. These stunning exhibits allow you to experience what Noah’s life may have been like. Deck 1 immerses guests in the size and scope of the biblical ark as visitors walk through a storage area and learn about animal kinds. Deck 2 focuses on the pre-flood world, animal concerns, and an exploration of Noah and how God could have prepared him for his monumental task. Deck 3 covers plausible living quarters for Noah and his family, flood geology, post-flood events, and a special Museum of the Bible exhibit.
After exploring the Ark thoroughly, we will join together to dine at the all-you-can-eat restaurant on site. If you can’t find something to eat here, you are not hungry. This afternoon we will have the opportunity to listen to a program. The schedule is not out yet, but Ken Ham often speaks at this facility, so we are hoping that is the case today.
Day 4- Today we will visit another Kentucky favorite…the horses. Kentucky is an important center of thoroughbred racehorse breeding and home to some of the most prestigious stud farms in the US. On this tour, learn about horse racing and breeding as you visit three horse farms, and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at how the horses are bred, raised, and prepared for their racing debuts. Under supervision of your guide, you’ll have a chance to meet the horses and feed them a treat.
Following this tour we will return to the airport for our flight back home.
The cost of the tour is $ 950 per person, based on double occupancy. Supplement for a single traveler is $200. Children staying in a room with a parent will be at a reduced rate.
