DAY 1, Monday – Arrive in Boston
Our flight will depart on Oct 7 at 6:54 a.m. and arrive in Boston at 10:40 a.m. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure Your tour will begin with an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager at approximately 7 PM.

DAY 2, Tuesday – Boston City Tour, Mayflower II
This morning, begin with a tour of historic Boston. Drive by numerous government and historical buildings, including the Massachusetts State House and State Capitol near the top of Beacon Hill. On to Boston Commons, the starting point of the Freedom Trail, and the oldest park in the country. Free time for lunch in Faneuil Hall. Then, drive to Plymouth Rock at Pilgrim Memorial State Park and tour the Mayflower II. Afterward, take a scenic drive to Cape Cod and arrive at the seaside town of Hyannis for overnight. Tonight, at dinner, celebrate your arrival to New England

DAY 3, Wednesday – Full Day in Hyannis, Cape Cod
Today is free to explore quaint Hyannis on your own, or partake in the full day tour to Martha’s Vineyard, the picturesque old whaling village steeped in history, now one of the most elegant and charming seaside resorts in the Northeast. We will all depart Hyannis to Martha’s Vineyard for your tour of the island. Take the ferry to Oak Bluffs, a summer resort town renowned for its Gingerbread cottages and well preserved Victorian homes. Learn about the island’s most famous landmarks, view the beautiful landscapes and magnificent beaches. Shop in the local stores unique to the “Vineyard”. Learn about the seasonal and year-round communities of bustling Vineyard Haven and quaint Edgartown. Lunch on your own before returning to the ferry, which takes you back to the Cape for the rest of your evening at leisure. Transfers to and from the hotel are included. Approximate tour duration is 8 hours.

DAY 4, Thursday – Norman Rockwell Museum, Travel to Pittsfield
Today, travel to Stockbridge, Vermont to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum, home to the world’s largest and most significant collection of Rockwell’s works and where he lived for the last 25 years of his life. Tonight, have dinner with the group.

DAY 5, Friday – Quechee Gorge, Vermont Institute of Natural Science Nature Center, Travel toBurlington
Today, drive from Pittsfield to Burlington. First, stop and wander through the Vermont Country Store. Next, head to view Quechee Gorge, Vermont’s deepest gorge for breathtaking views.
DAY 6, Saturday – Travel from Burlington to Newry
Experience several of Vermont’s quaint towns and products today, including a self-guided tour at Cold Hollow Cider Mill. Savor an apple cider donut along with a sip of apple cider. Venture to Montpelier, the capital of Vermont for lunch on your own. Finish the day, sampling a maple creemee at Morse Farm Maple Sugarworks. Check into your hotel in Newry, with time to settle in before dinner tonight

DAY 7, Sunday – Mount Washington Cog Railway, Scenic Kancamagus Highway
Today, board the Mount Washington Cog Railway, the world’s first mountain climbing train to the top of Mount Washington, the highest peak in New England.* After a box lunch, drive on the scenic 34-mile Kancamagus Highway on the way back to Newry
*Temperatures at the summit may be much colder, please dress accordingly. Train rides may be shortened due to extreme weather.

DAY 8, Monday – Travel to Portland, Portland Headlight
Depart the White Mountains for coastal Portland. Visit the Portland Headlight, a historic lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth. Free time in Portland to explore and for lunch on your own. This evening, dinner is at the hotel

DAY 9, Tuesday – Explore Portland
We will change to another nearby hotel and find something to see. There are several options, such as a ferry ride, Old Town, walk along the coast, final shopping opportunity, and sitting and enjoying the view of the ocean.
